CMSD82 New Release – Brian Muldon, Hazelton Secondary School Vice Principal Appointment  (PDF Format)

The Board of Education for Coast Mountains School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Muldon to the position of Vice Principal at Hazelton Secondary School effective August 25, 2021.

Born and raised in Hazelton, Brian is highly regarded in the community as a passionate, dedicated educator and school leader whose work in schools has been characterized by hard work, reliability and a focus on improving student success for all learners.  Currently the Principal at Kispiox Community School (Ans’Payaxw School Society), his twenty-nine years’ experience as a knowledgeable and effective classroom teacher and administrator in the communities of Kispiox and Hazelton will serve him well in his new role.  His knowledge of the students, families and the Hazelton communities will be a huge asset for Hazelton Secondary School.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Education Degree from Yorkville University in Educational Leadership.

He has always shown a passion for his profession, and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of the young people of the Hazelton communities.  The school district feels fortunate to have an educator with Brian’s understanding and respect for the rich Indigenous culture and dedication to improving the success rate for Indigenous students assume this important leadership role.
