School Trustee Elections
School trustees play a vital role in shaping public education in Coast Mountains School District No. 82. Trustees are locally elected representatives who work together as a Board of Education to establish policy, oversee the district budget, and support student success across our communities.
Key Dates
- August 4, 2026 – Printed nomination packages available by appointment
- September 1, 2026 (9:00 a.m.) – Nomination period opens
- September 11, 2026 (4:00 p.m.) – Nomination period closes
- September 18, 2026 (4:00 p.m.) – Candidate withdrawal deadline
- September 19, 2026 - Campaign period begins
- October 17, 2026 – General Voting Day

Printed Nomination Package
Printed nomination packages will be available beginning August 4, 2026.
To pick up a printed nomination package at the School District Office, please book an appointment using our online scheduling calendar:

Candidate Information
To run for School Trustee, candidates must meet eligibility requirements established by provincial legislation. The minimum number of qualified nominators required is two (2) and no nomination deposit is required.
