It is with regret that we share the resignation of Sonja Donnan, Vice Principal at Skeena Middle School effective July 31, 2023. Sonja has accepted the position of Vice Principal of Fairview Community School in the Nanaimo-Ladysmith School District (Vancouver Island) and will commence her new role on August 1, 2023.
A long-term employee, Sonja joined Coast Mountains School District in October 1999 and served the school district primarily in the Terrace and Thornhill communities. She held the positions of Teacher on Call and Classroom Teacher at Caledonia Secondary, Skeena Middle, Cassie Hall Elementary, Thornhill Junior Secondary, and Thornhill Elementary prior to the appointment to her current position effective August 1, 2019.
The district extends its sincere thanks to Sonja for her long-term service and her many contributions made to learner success during her tenure with Coast Mountains School District.
In the interim, we are actively seeking a new Vice Principal for Skeena Middle School.
