The Board of Education is seeking public feedback on draft revisions to Policy 1090: Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT), impacting students' use of cell phones in CMSD schools. Input will be accepted until Tuesday June 4, 2024.

Gitxsan Immersion Program Launching in September 2024

The Gitxsan Language Immersion program approved by the Board of Education at its February 2024 Regular Meeting will launch this September, beginning with the introduction of a Kindergarten class at Majagaleehl Gali Aks Elementary School in Hazelton.

Decision Made by Board Involving Terrace Schools' Catchment Area

At their April 24th meeting, the Board of Education accepted the recommendation of the Catchment Area Review Team, deciding not to make any adjustments to the current boundary separating Suwilaawks Community School and Cassie Hall Elementary in Terrace.

Please be informed Coast Mountains' schools in the Hazeltons and Kitwanga will be closed this afternoon, April 30, due to a prolonged power outage. BC Hydro estimates power restoration by the end of today.
