As the 2025–2026 school year comes to a close, Superintendent shares a message of appreciation to all Coast Mountains School District staff, recognizing their dedication, commitment, and contributions to students, schools, and communities across the district.
As we reach the end of another school year, I want to take a moment to thank every member of our Coast Mountains School District team for the care, dedication, and commitment you bring to your work each day.
This year, I enjoyed spending time in schools and participating in programs across our district and saw firsthand the incredible work taking place in support of students. I appreciate everyone who welcomed me into their schools, classrooms, and events. One of the greatest joys of my role is having the opportunity to celebrate learning with students. From cultural celebrations, feasts, concerts, performances, trades programs, athletic events, student leadership gatherings, scholarship evenings, graduations, assemblies, and community events to the everyday learning taking place in classrooms and gymnasiums, each visit provided a reminder of the contributions you have made and the positive impact you have on the lives of young people every day.
I have watched students grow in confidence, celebrate their cultures and identities, showcase their talents, achieve academic success, and support one another through challenges and accomplishments. None of this happens by chance. It happens because of the relationships you build, the encouragement you provide, and the countless ways you support students and families every day.
Whether you work directly with students, support school operations, maintain our facilities, provide transportation, lead teams, or contribute to one of the many other essential roles across our district, please know that your work matters. I appreciate the work you do each day that helps foster schools and learning environments where students feel supported, valued, and inspired to reach their potential.
As the summer break begins, I hope you take time to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. Summer provides an opportunity to reflect on the successes of the year, celebrate accomplishments, and return refreshed for the year ahead.
To those who are retiring or moving on to new opportunities, thank you for the contributions you have made to our district. We are grateful for the impact you have had on students, colleagues, and school communities, and we wish you every success and happiness in the next chapter of your journey.
