The District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC) for Coast Mountains School District 82 is a collection of parents working with the common goal of supporting education for all the students of School District 82. DPACs are comprised of elected parent representatives from School Parent Advisory Committees (PACs) and serve as an umbrella organization for the PACs in their school district.
DPAC’s purpose is to support Parent Advisory Councils (PACs) at the school level and to encourage them to share their parent views at the district and provincial levels.
Generally, DPAC representatives:
• Act as a liaison between the PAC and DPAC by attending DPAC meetings
• Communicate and obtain information to and from PAC
• Bring forward issues that may be common to more than one school
