CMSD82 Board of Education News Release – Superintendent of Schools Retirement, Aug. 31, 2022
The Board of Education for Coast Mountains School District 82 wishes to announce the retirement of Janet Meyer, Superintendent of Schools effective August 31, 2022.
Janet has been a leader in the school district for 34 years following a long and varied career, having worked as a Teacher, Principal, Director of Instruction, Director of Human Resources and Acting Superintendent of Schools before taking on the role of Superintendent of Schools in June 2020.
A well-respected leader in education, Janet is always guided by her commitment for the success of all learners. Her dedication to public education and her ability to lead change has guided significant growth in Coast Mountains School District.
The Board of Education would like to sincerely thank Janet for her dedication to public education through her exceptional years of service for our learners, our school district and the larger educational community. We are grateful for her devoted years of service in public education.
In accepting Janet’s retirement, the Board of Education will begin the search for the next Superintendent of Schools for Coast Mountains School District in early 2022.
