Board Meetings, Agendas & Minutes

The Board of Education wishes to invite the public and its partner groups to participate in its regularly scheduled meetings for the 2022/2023 School Year as listed below.

The 2022/2023 Regular (Public) Board of Education Meetings are scheduled at 5:00 p.m. at the Board of Education Office in Terrace except for the October, February and May meetings which will be held at 5:00 p.m. in Hazelton, Kitimat and Stewart respectively (venues to be confirmed).  There is no Regular Board of Education Meeting scheduled in March 2023.  All meetings will be available in a Hybrid format (in-person or via Zoom) as well as livestreamed via the CMSD82 YouTube Channel.

Standing Committees
Agenda items for the Regular Board Meetings are filtered through the Board of Education’s Standing Committees, the Education Committee and the Business Committee, for review and/or recommendation to the Board.  The monthly Education and Business Committee meeting dates (there are no Committee Meetings in March 2023) are detailed in the Coast Mountains School District 82 Internal Administrative Calendar.  Please contact Carole Gagnon, Executive Assistant at (250) 638-4401 should you require further information.

Question Period – Regular (Public) Board Meetings
At the end of each Regular Board Meeting, there is a 10-minute question period pertaining to the agenda for member(s) of the public to ask questions or to share information with the Board.  We kindly ask that questions pertaining to the agenda be emailed in advance of the Regular Board Meeting no later than 4:00 p.m. to the attention of Carole Gagnon, Executive Assistant at carole.gagnon@cmsd.bc.ca.

Presentations
In accordance to the Board’s Delegation/Presentation Protocol, presentations to the Board require one week’s advance notice in accordance to the Board’s Delegation/Presentation Protocol.  Written documentation on the material to be presented to the Board is required by 4:00 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the Regular  Board Meeting.  Presentations will be held to a maximum of 10 minutes.  Kindly coordinate your presentation request to the Board through Carole Gagnon, Executive Assistant at (250) 638-4401 or at carole.gagnon@cmsd.bc.ca.
