CMSD82 New Release – Pat Mouland, Principal Uplands Elementary School Appointment


Coast Mountains School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Pat Mouland to the position of Principal at Uplands Elementary School. Currently the Vice Principal at Cassie Hall Elementary School, she will assume her new position on September 1, 2017.

Pat is a long-term employee and a highly respected educator with a keen interest in early learning, literacy education and success for all learners. She has held various teaching positions with the school district including the role of Vice Principal at the former Roy Wilcox Elementary School in Kitimat and more recently at Uplands Elementary School. During her career, Pat has demonstrated strong leadership and collaboration skills to develop innovative programs to ensure the success for all learners.

She holds a Bachelor of Education Degree in Elementary Education with a Special Education minor from the University of Alberta and a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Development from the University of British Columbia.

Pat brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and a deep commitment to the success of all learners to her new leadership position with Uplands Elementary School. She is a passionate advocate for student success and has a reputation for bringing an energetic, team-focused approach to everything she does. Her work in schools has always portrayed an emphasis on putting students first, teamwork, building positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the community with an understanding of and respect for local Aboriginal culture, language and history.

Coast Mountains welcomes Pat to her new role as Uplands Elementary School Principal and extends to her every success as she pursues this exciting career change.
