CMSD82 News Release – Robin MacLeod Retirement, Vice Principal, Caledonia Secondary School

Coast Mountains School District wishes to announce the retirement of Robin MacLeod, Vice Principal at Caledonia Secondary School effective July 31, 2021.  It is with mixed feelings that we share Robin’s retirement.  She will assume a well-deserved retirement to spend time with her family, who have been an invaluable support during her professional career.  Robin will continue her work on scholarships with the Northwest Education 88 Foundation and her involvement with the arts at the Terrace Little Theatre and the Terrace & District Arts Council.

Robin has been an educator and administrator with School District 82 for 43 years!  She is highly respected by her colleagues and a passionate advocate for student success.  Robin joined the school district in 1978, following graduation from the University of British Columbia, as a Senior English Teacher at Caledonia Secondary School and she never looked back.  She has held various teaching assignments that include English, Writing, Literature, Theatre, Directing & Script Writing and Musical Theatre.  During her tenure at Caledonia Secondary School she also held the position of School Counsellor for 17 years and doubled as the in-house Musical Theatre Director directing and co-producing yearly musicals.  Her dedication to teaching and her generous personal efforts towards the many extra-curricular school activities such as District Awards & Scholarship Coordinator, Grad Committee Sponsor and Choreographer, Caledonia Musical Productions, Drama Club, champion for Northwest Education ‘88’ Foundation and more have contributed significantly to student achievement and success.  Robin was appointed to the position of Vice Principal at Caledonia Secondary School in September 2016.

Robin has demonstrated exemplary leadership in serving Coast Mountains School District during her outstanding years of service with her enthusiasm, inspiration and her deep commitment to the success of young people at the school and community level.  The school district is grateful for her many significant contributions and the dedication she has provided over her 43 years of service.

Robin’s legacy will be dearly missed by all within the school district including the many connections and relationships she has forged with all staff.  Thank you, Robin!

Our very best wishes are extended to Robin and her family in their future endeavors.
