CMSD82 News Release – MEMSS Interim Administrative Change, Jan. 25-March 31, 2022

I am writing to share with you an interim change effective Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in the administrative structure at Mount Elizabeth Middle/Secondary School.

Christine Byrd, Principal is on leave, effective immediately, until March 31, 2022.

Gary Mouland, a retired Coast Mountains School District educator, has been appointed Acting Principal effective immediately through to the end of March 31, 2022. Gary is an experienced Teacher, Counsellor and Administrator who previously held teaching and administrative assignments at Mount Elizabeth Middle/Secondary School. We are grateful that Gary agreed to take on this temporary assignment.

In the interim, the school district continues to actively seek a new Principal for Mount Elizabeth Middle/Secondary School through a Canada-wide search.

Please be assured that the school district will be providing the support necessary to Gary and to ensure that a safe and successful learning environment for children remains the focus of the school.

We greatly appreciate your understanding and patience as we transition through this school administration change.

Please join me in welcoming Gary to his interim position at Mount Elizabeth Middle/Secondary School.
