Today, Minister of Education Rob Fleming announced an increase to in-class instruction under Stage 3 of BC’s K-12 Education Restart Plan. This announcement included new Provincial COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines for K-12 Setting that adhere to the standards set by WorkSafeBC and the BC Centre for Disease Control.
Each school district will develop a return-to-class and safety plan approved by the Ministry before moving to the next stage, and these plans will be posted on each school district’s website for families to access. Independent school associations are also required to submit plans to the Ministry.
