Mail ballot voting will be available for all qualified electors for the Election by Voting to elect one Trustee for Trustee Electoral Area 4 (Stewart) and to elect one Trustee for Trustee Electoral Area 5 (Hazelton) of Coast Mountains Board of Education School District 82 for the period November 2022 to November 2026.
- Mail ballot voting packages will available commencing on September 29, 2022.
- Requests for mail ballot packages must be received before 4:00 p.m. October 11, 2022.
Complete the CMSD82 Application to Vote by Mail and mail or email to the Administration Office of Coast Mountains Board of Education School District 82 (CMSD82), 3211 Kenney Street, Terrace, B.C. V8G 3E9. Email carole.gagnon@cmsd.bc.ca no later than Tuesday, October 11, 2021 if you would like the package mailed; or not later than Thursday, October 13, 2022 if you intend to pick the package up at the CMSD82 Administration office.
If your application is filled out correctly, the Chief Election Officer will send you a mail ballot package by regular mail or your package will be made available for pick up at the CMSD82 Administration Office on or before 4:00 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2022.
Completed ballots can be returned by mail, dropped off at a voting venue on advanced voting days and general voting day, or dropped off at the Board of Education Office at 3211 Kenney Street, Building A, during regular business hours before 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2022. Electors with accessibility needs can call (250) 638-4401 for assistance.
Due to the potential for postal delays, residents are encouraged to drop off their ballots at one of the voting venues on advanced or general voting days, if possible. It is the voter’s responsibility to ensure ballots are returned on time. Ballots received after 8:00 p.m. on October 15, 20will not be counted.
