On behalf of the Board of Education for the Coast Mountains School District 82, I would like to sincerely thank all of our employees for your work and assistance during these unprecedented times. I would also like to thank you for your patience as we receive information and direction from our Provincial Government regarding wage guarantees.
At this time, Coast Mountains Board of Education School District 82 have decided to extend continuity of employment and pay to May 31, 2020. With a pay continuity, comes the responsibility to respond when redeployment has been issued. At this time, meaningful work is being made available to all our employees but if you are not able to perform work duties due any reason, please contact me and we can discuss options regarding leave of absence.
Coast Mountains School District 82 and our local unions are working together to ensure all mandated safety precautions are being followed and commit to communicating updates to staff, as they occur.
This is a very challenging time and Coast Mountains School 82 is very thankful for your support to contain spread of COVID-19.
The district will continue to monitor situation and will do our best to keep you updated on the developments regarding June employment and compensation continuity prior to May 31, 2020.
