International Women’s Day will be celebrated March 8, 2023!

This year’s national theme, “Every Woman Counts,” is a reminder that “all women, from all ages and walks of life, have a place in Canadian society, including in the economic, social, and democratic spheres”.  Women and Gender Equality Canada has created a learning guide and online course, “Canadian Women in History,” that shares inspiring stories of Canadian women and features key figures, events, and gender equality milestones in Canadian history.

The Government of Canada has also curated two repositories: the Women of Impact in Canada gallery and the Women in Canadian History: A Timeline showcasing the achievements of Canadian women in various fields such as politics, sciences, and the arts.

Download the International Women’s Day digital toolkit to help celebrate the day through social media, and include @CASSWiL and #inspirationalwomen in all posts.
