The Deputy Minister of Education, Rob Wood, issued the following letter to all Superintendents of Schools today regarding Social Studies 11 and English 10 Exams.
MoE Letter from Deputy Minister – URGENT Social Studies 11 & English 10 Exams
Based on concerns raised by a number of Superintendents related to quality and validity of the marking for Social Studies 11 and English 10, the decision has been taken to alter the sections that students will be responsible for completing related to these two exams.
It is important to note that students have the opportunity to re-write any provincial exam for a one-year period as per the Handbook of Procedures. In addition, for the November 2014 exam session only, we are able to offer an electronic option to students who want an opportunity to write the portions of each of these exams that are not being offered during this June session.
