CMSD82 News Release – Ecole Mountainview Interim Administration Change – May 11, 2020
I am writing to share with you an interim change in the administrative structure at Ecole Mountainview effective May 11, 2020.
Cindy Sousa, Principal at Ecole Mountainview will be taking a personal leave effective May 11, 2020. Cindy wishes to extend her sincere regrets to the students, staff and families of Ecole Mountainview for having to step away from her role at this time. Cindy’s intention is to return to her role as soon as possible.
Effective May 11, 2020, Leaha Broome has been appointed Acting Principal for Ecole Mountainview for the duration of Cindy’s leave. We are grateful that Leaha is able to provide assistance for this interim assignment.
Leaha joined the school district on September 30, 2013 and currently holds a grade 1 French Immersion teaching position at Ecole Mountainview. She is an experienced and knowledgeable educator having recently completed her Master in Education degree from the University of Alberta.
We greatly appreciate your understanding and patience as we transition through this unexpected school administration change.
The school district is actively seeking an educator to assume the duties of Leaha’s grade 1 class and acknowledge that this will be a transition for the grade 1 students. Leaha and the newly hired educator will work together to ensure that students in this class will have a continued relationship with their former teacher, Madame Broome.
Please join me in welcoming Leaha to her new interim assignment.
