Telling our stories, one video at time is one of the best ways to share Coast Mountains School District’s stories and approach to learning.

We invite you to join us through video, so you can see and hear stories of learning, teaching and innovation directly from our students and educators.

This video entitled “Kitwanga Poem” was filmed at our Kitwanga Elementary School and presented as the opening message for teaching staff district wide at the Curriculum Implementation Day held on September 5, 2017.  This is a beautiful poem written by a Grade 7 student at Kitwanga Elementary School sharing the experience of a Residential School student.

In the following video, we highlight the journeys of becoming an educator through the lens of two different cultural backgrounds.  The video entitled “I am an Educator – Julia’s Poems” was viewed by our educators district wide as the opening message for the April 13, 2018 Curriculum Implementation Day.

The Board of Education for Coast Mountains School District believes that student voice is a valuable resource related to structuring our system to meet their interests and learning needs.  The following video entitled “Student Voice” illustrates the importance to hear directly from our students on their influence and decision-making at all student levels.  This video was presented district wide as the opening message for the Curriculum Implementation Day held on September 4, 2018.

A Quicklink entitled “District Video Gallery” has been added to our website’s main page for easy access to our school district’s video stories.
