CMSD82 News Release – Julia Nieckarz, Director of Instruction, Learner Support Appointment


The Board of Education for Coast Mountains School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Julia Nieckarz to the position of Director of Instruction, Learner Support effective September 1, 2017.

Currently serving as Principal at Uplands Elementary School, Julia holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from West England University and a Master of Special Education Degree from Flinders University, Australia.

Julia has demonstrated exemplary leadership in serving as the Uplands Elementary School Principal with a reputation as a team player and a strong commitment to the learners and families at Uplands Elementary School.

She is an exceptional educator with a thorough knowledge of instructional and assessment strategies for learners including those from diverse and rich cultural backgrounds.  Julia is a passionate advocate for student success and will bring great insight and a deep commitment to making a positive difference for all students within Coast Mountains School District.

The school district is most fortunate to have an individual of Julia’s calibre assuming this role and joining the District Leadership Team.

We look forward to welcoming Julia to her new position and we extend our best wishes to her for every success in her new role.

In the interim, a posting for the principalship at Uplands Elementary School will be issued next Monday, July 31 with a closing date of August 8.
