A regular update is provided to school districts from the Ministries of Education and Health to share with our school communities. Here is the update for April 24, 2020.  We will continue to share updates with you as we receive them.

There are currently 1,853 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in B.C., which includes 29 new cases reported for April 24.

Parent Resources

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for the public were updated as at April 17 that include updates about marks, assessment and graduation.  The FAQs will be updated again next week.


Resources for parents and guardians:

  • On April 8, the Province announced new measures to support returning British Columbians.
  • The Ministry’s Keep Learning website provide learning resources and supports for K-12 students while in-class instruction is suspended and is being updated as new resources are available.
  • B.C.’s COVID-19 website provides up-to-date non-clinical information on COVID-19 is also available.  The COVID-19 app is available on Apple’s app store and the Google Play store.

British Columbians can also use the new provincial phone service by calling 1-888-COVID19, available seven days a week from 7:30AM to 8:00PM, with information in over 110 languages. Specific public health questions re: COVID-19 should be directed to your local health authority for response.
