CMSD82 Memo re Curriculum Implementation Day – April 29, 2016
As previously shared with you, Friday, April 29, is our second of two designated Curriculum Implementation Days for the 2015-2016 school year. These days are specifically dedicated to British Columbia’s redesigned K-12 curriculum that is being phased in over the next three years. Coast Mountains’ teachers and administrators have been doing some amazing and innovative work to transition to this redesigned curriculum. The Curriculum Implementation Day planned on April 29 is a Non-Instructional Day as communicated via the school district’s Amended 2015-2016 School Calendar. This day will be used to give Coast Mountains’ teachers and administrators time to become more familiar with the new curriculum.
The following Curriculum Implementation Day sessions have been planned for school district staff in Hazelton, Kitimat and Terrace on Friday, April 29. Please reference the above-mentioned memorandum to employees for complete details as well as the program for each venue. While the content will be consistent, there may be slight variations in delivery across the three communities.
