CMSD82 Leadership Staffing Administrative Adjustment Change

 

The Board of Education for Coast Mountains School District wishes to announce a change in the administrative assignment of Julia Jacobs as Vice Principal at Mount Elizabeth Middle/Secondary School and her return to Cassie Hall Elementary School as Vice Principal for the 2019-2020 school year.

This administrative change will form part of the one-year plan that will provide the opportunity to develop a collaborative leadership staffing transition for the 2020-2021 school year, while engaging mentorship opportunities for Principals and Vice Principals assuming new roles for the upcoming school year.

If you are a student who is required to take a Provincial Exam this summer, please read the information below. Additional information can be found on the Ministry of Education website.

Since all exams are electronic, you can locate the sample exams through the Ministry website link shared above.  If you have never attempted an electronic exam, it is suggested that you take the time to practice with the ‘past exams’.

Electronic Exams:
All Grade 12 required Provincial Exams will be administered electronically.

July 2 to August 23 inclusive
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday
Closed for Lunch – 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.

Note:  The Board of Education Office will be closed on Monday, July 1 in observance of the Canada Statutory Day. 

The Board of Education Office will be closed to the public from July 15 to August 9 inclusive in conjunction with the 2019 District-Wide School Summer Closure scheduled to accommodate maintenance activities during that time.

CMSD82 News Release – Kiran Bath, Manager of HR & Payroll Appointment  (PDF Format)

 

Coast Mountains School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Kiran Bath to the new position of Manager of Human Resources & Payroll. Kiran transitioned into her new role effective May 1, 2019 and reports to the Director of Human Resources.

In her new leadership role, Kiran’s duties will include overseeing staffing for the school district, recruitment, administration of the District Occupational Health & Safety Committee, the Attendance Support & Wellness Program including employee accommodations, and supervision of human resources and payroll related functions.

Kiran has served in the role of Human Resources Officer since August 1, 2013. The experience and knowledge she has gained and her proven ability to work well with people across the school district will serve her well in her new position. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Caledonia Secondary School’s operation as a high school!

To celebrate this milestone anniversary a “50th Birthday Barbecue” will be held for students, current and former staff, and community representatives on Friday, June 14, 2019.  There will be entertainment, food, and a chance to walk down memory lane, as we celebrate our 50th year serving the community.

The school day will be modified on June 14 to allow for an extended lunch time to accommodate the celebration.
