If you are a student who is required to take a Provincial Exam this summer, please read the information below. Additional information can be found on the Ministry of Education website.

Since all exams are electronic, you can locate the sample exams through the Ministry website link shared above.  If you have never attempted an electronic exam, it is suggested that you take the time to practice with the ‘past exams’.

Electronic Exams:
All Grade 12 required Provincial Exams will be administered electronically.

Exam Centre Location:
Northwest Trades & Employment Training Centre (NTETC), 3120 Highway 16 East, Terrace

Please be informed of the 2017 Summer Hours for the Board of Education Office as follows:

July 4 to August 25
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday
Closed for Lunch – 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.

The Board of Education Office will be closed to the public
from July 17 to August 11 inclusive in conjunction
with the 2017 District-Wide School Summer Closure scheduled
to accommodate maintenance activities during that time.

Note: The Board of Education Office will be closed on Monday, July 3 in lieu of the July 1 Canada Day Statutory Holiday.

The Student Learning Survey (formerly called the Satisfaction Survey) is a survey for students in Grades 4, 7, 10 and 12, their parents and staff.  This survey has been administered annually in B.C. public schools since 2001.  It is the only source of province-wide information on in-school process and the learning environment.

In addition to providing planning data for districts and schools, the survey has been used by the Representative for Children and Youth to report on the well-being of youth in B.C., by the Ministry of Health to support healthy schools initiatives, and by other organizations.

The survey is open until May 26, 2017 and covers a range of topics, providing a comprehensive picture of the educational experience in B.C. public schools. Questions were developed with input from partner groups, teachers and experts in educational measurement and special education.
