The Board of Education for Coast Mountains School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Pamella (Pam) Groves to the position of Principal at Cassie Hall Elementary School effective August 1, 2021.

Pam brings 25 years of knowledge, experience and a deep commitment to the success of all learners to her new leadership position with Cassie Hall Elementary School.  Her background includes 14 years’ experience with the Prince Rupert School District as a District Mental Health Literacy Specialist, Vice Principal, Secondary Counsellor, Teacher, First Nations Elementary School Counsellor and District Elementary Counsellor.  Pam previously held the position of District Itinerant Counsellor with Coast Mountains School District during the 2010-2011 school year.  She has also held teaching positions with the Northwest Community College and the Prince George School District.

Pam holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of British Columbia as well as a Master of Education Degree in Educational Counselling from the University of Northern British Columbia.

Pam’s broad experience base as an exceptional educator, school and district leader combined with her reputation as a team player, thorough knowledge of instruction and assessment strategies and a strong commitment to all learners, will serve her well in her new role.  She is passionate about success for all learners and brings great insight, leadership and commitment to making a continued positive difference for all students at Cassie Hall Elementary School.

She is eager to begin to form the relationships that will make it possible to continue the good work already taking place at Cassie Hall Elementary School ensuring a strong future for all learners.

We congratulate Pam on her new position and welcome her to our educational community as she pursues this exciting career change.
