Yesterday evening the British Columbia Teachers’ Federation (BCTF) served strike notice which escalates their job action to Stage 3, a full withdrawal of services. The strike notices received from the BCTF include:
- 48-hours notice of a rotating strike of ALL districts on Monday, June 16 — it is our understanding that Monday is a study session day but teachers will not be at work. We don’t yet know if there will be pickets; we will confirm as soon as possible. If there are no pickets, support staff will be expected to report to work as scheduled.
- Three working days notice of a full withdrawal commencing Tuesday, June 17.
Both strike notices are provided below. The rotating strikes scheduled for the remainder of this week will continue.
