CMSD82 News Release – Cassie Hall Elementary Vice Principal Appointment, August 1, 2020


Coast Mountains School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Sandra Kenmuir to the role of Vice Principal at Cassie Hall Elementary School effective August 1, 2020.

Sandra currently holds the position of Counsellor for Grades 7 and 9 at Skeena Middle School, a role she has held since September 2019. She previously held a Grade 7 teaching position at Skeena Middle School from February 2017 to June 2019 and provided Teacher Teaching-on-Call coverage prior to her teaching assignment. Sandra has held various teaching positions in different schools within public/independent districts in B.C. prior to her tenure with Coast Mountains School District. These experiences have afforded her insight and an adaptive approach to education including the different needs and diversities of staff and students. She also brings 13 years of experience to her new role as an English Second Language Instructor encompassing assignments in Vancouver, Tokyo and Seoul.

She holds a Master of Education degree in Counselling from the University of Northern British Columbia, a Bachelor of Education degree from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Victoria.

Sandra has always demonstrated passion in her profession, an understanding and respect for local diverse cultures and the importance of community involvement in making a difference in the lives of young people. She is a passionate advocate for student success and has a reputation for bringing an enthusiastic, team-focused approach to everything she does.

We welcome Sandra to her new role as Vice Principal at Cassie Hall Elementary School and extend to her every success as she pursues this exciting career change.
