For your information … we share a link to the Superintendent’s Report to the Board as prepared by our Superintendent of Schools, Janet Meyer and presented at the virtual Regular (Public) Board of Education Meeting held on Wednesday, February 24:
CMSD82 Superintendent’s Report to the Board – February 24, 2021
The theme for this month’s report is “Professional Development”. In the spring of 2020, the school district conducted a CMSD82 Workplace Environmental Scan. Some of the results of that scan related to the satisfaction of our employees pertaining to their professional development opportunities indicate:
- 63% of employees feel the school district supports their work-related learning and development,
- 47% feel the quality of training and development they received is satisfactory, and
- 55% agree they have adequate opportunities to develop their skill.
Given the results of the Workplace Scan, the school district is trying to establish the actions that can be taken to further enhance the professional development opportunities for employees.
The Superintendent’s Report highlights the following good news stories entitled, CMSD82 Schools Welcome Teacher Candidates, International Student from Uganda attends MEMSS, Cassie Hall Elementary School Connecting the Curriculum to the Land and Pink Shirt Day Across CMSD82 … February 24.
There is also an 101 informational story on, What Is a Thoughtexchange?. To that end employees are welcome to participate in a Professional Development Thoughexchange detailed on page 3 of the Superintendent’s Report. Feedback is welcome by March 5.
