CMSD82 2016-2017 Leadership Staffing Appointment – Lionel Brideson, BVS Principalship (PDF Format)
The Board of Education for Coast Mountains School District is pleased to announce the leadership staffing appointment of Mr. Lionel Brideson to the position of Principal at Bear Valley School effective August 1, 2016.
Mr. Brideson brings a wealth of experience to Bear Valley School from his progression of roles in the K-12 public education sector as a teacher, school administrator, superintendent of special education and consultant within Alberta, Saskatchewan and most recently the Yukon. Mr. Brideson has over 20 years’ experience as a school administrator in both the elementary and secondary public education environments. He holds a Master of Arts degree in curriculum and administration from the Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, and a Bachelor of Education degree in reading, language arts, drama and physical education from the University of Calgary.
Mr. Brideson is a team player and a strong advocate for the success of all learners, and will bring great insight and commitment to making a positive difference for students at Bear Valley School. The students, staff and parents will benefit immensely from his strong leadership background, in-depth skills and thorough knowledge of instructional and assessment strategies for all learners including those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Coast Mountains School District is most fortunate to have an educator of Mr. Brideson’s calibre joining the leadership and instructional team at Bear Valley School.
